Week Number 3
Such a week full of discoveries and encounters!

This weekend Lydia and I took the opportunity to make a Saturday trip to Puebla. It's a place heavily influenced by the colonial era, which we could comfortably reach in about two hours by the exceptionally punctual coach. The journey begins at 8:30 in the morning, and I already feel a slight pressure on my head, oh well.

Upon arrival, we head to the compact center and first look for a small café. Lydia has done a great job by finding us recommendations for sweet food spots on TikTok.


Afterwards, we walk to the main square, admire the impressive church, and let ourselves be carried away by the colorful streets filled with stalls. It reminds me a little of Southern Spain or perhaps Cuba.



We also admire the beautiful library, which was sponsored by a bishop in the 17th century as the first public library in Latin America, with the condition that it should be accessible to everyone, not just clergy. Wonderful! There’s also a concert taking place in the courtyard of the building!




Then I unfortunately start feeling quite unwell; I get a severe migraine. My triptans for the road are empty—how could this happen! Ibuprofen isn’t helping anymore, even with 800mg. It’s so frustrating because the next stop is the
