Valence - Châteauneuf-du-Rhône

Instead of the rather meager breakfast offerings at Hotel de Lyon, we stocked up on fresh bread and other pastries from the bakery next door. On the opposite bank of the Rhône in Guilherand-Granges, there were sunny spots available for us.

As we crossed the Rhône at Rochemaure, we suddenly found ourselves amidst a group of students with what felt like 200 children waddling in unison over the suspension bridge.

Will the bridge hold? Luckily, no one ordered them to march in step.
