Arrival Day
If you only want to know about the nice stuff: Skip the post. I think I'll indulge my literary side here: >>Well, it's only half a day left, so not much can go wrong,...

It’s time to go!
My flight officially took off at 11:15 am on 31.03. Thanks to Tobias, I was already at the airport in Frankfurt by 8:30 am.
With a flight time of 13 hours, I arrived in Taiwan at 6 am. So, I basically traveled to the future 😏
To everyone visiting me:
Don't be surprised, the security check actually comes directly before the gate!
Since I had ordered vegetarian food, I received my meal about 30 minutes before everyone else. I didn’t notice any angry looks, but there were probably some! The food was solid overall. Not a huge amount, but I wasn’t that hungry that day anyway.
There was lunch, a sandwich, breakfast, and snacks throughout the flight. Drinks were also included. So definitely enough food.
The airline really tried hard to manage the time zones:
While it was still light outside, we eventually closed the windows and simulated a longer night (which was actually quite short) and it was basically 'morning' again in Taiwan.
Unfortunately, I can’t easily outsmart my sleep rhythm. I only managed to sleep on the connecting flight.
In Taiwan, I spent the time with Tessa (hello👋), who kindly paid for my drink since my card didn’t work. The saga unfortunately continues (foreshadowing....)
The connecting flight left 2.5 hours later, around 9 am again in Taiwan. I was sitting next to a nice Italian couple who didn’t speak English. (See Mama, this could work!)
Fortunately, they were sleeping when I received my meal.... I think they would have had something against this pasta😅
So I arrived in Tokyo around 1 pm with 3 hours of interrupted sleep.
