Lots of time in nature.

Maggie recommended me to walk one of the various paths on a mountain in Cairns. There were four different paths and I decided to do three of them at once. The most difficult and longest one should already take 5 hours. However, after completing the path from the hostel to the paths, the three paths, and the way back to the hostel, I was already back after three hours. And I actually got some roommates in my 4-bed room. Mostly I was just alone. I had chatted with the Germans and in the evening we went to the costume party at the hostel.

During breakfast, there was no more toast. When I asked, they said it will be replenished soon. Okay, so I waited. Five minutes. Nothing. Then I just went to the room. Waited a total of 15 minutes. Still nothing. Asked again. Yes, they are still shopping, should show up any moment now. Hmm, with such a big hostel, this should actually be better planned. Strange. After a total of 30 minutes, there was toast again. At noon, I went on tour with the hostel's free bike. Since it was cloudy, I decided not to apply sunscreen. A mistake. I got a slight sunburn.

The next day, I wanted to check out another hostel. So I went to the 'Jungle Hostel'. As it was mentioned in the reviews, it was rather cozy here. The guy at the front desk also didn't seem to be fully present, but at least I could check in and everyone was friendly. At Rusty's Market, I could get fruits and vegetables from local farmers cheaper than in the supermarket.

It's the 28.10. and I convinced myself to go jogging again. Surprisingly, it went quite smoothly. A round in the pool right by the sea and an ice cream. Since the current hostel was not really satisfying, I changed to a new one again. Around noon, I rented a car with Facebook contacts and explored the surrounding area a bit. We also came across a small farm. In any case, I felt pretty nauseous from all the curves in the mountains and when we came back, I just wanted to fall into bed.
