When paying for my accommodation, the innkeeper advised me against hiking to Milia. It was supposed to rain today and it was too far anyway. I acknowledge the advice and ignore it. After a small breakfast, I set off. At first, I pass through many olive groves and later through the forest. The path through the Sirikari Gorge is incredibly beautiful. It is great to hike here even in the rain. After the gorge, I walked two kilometers on a paved road. Then, Kommot led me through the forest to the next trail. It was a bit tedious. When I was already within sight of my destination, I couldn't find the trail anymore. All the other paths on the app passed by Milia. So, I followed some red, blue, and yellow markings. Until I found myself in the middle of nowhere and tried to cross the field. I could see where I wanted to go. Unfortunately, my choice of route was more suitable for goats. It happened as it had to happen for a non-goat. I slipped and landed in the mud. In the process, I lost my phone and had to search for it painstakingly until I found it again - as they say, no other options. Milia was crowded. Tourists. Despite that, a room was prepared for me and I was able to get a seat in the restaurant. I was totally happy.
When I lay down briefly after taking a shower, I could hardly get up again (without a backpack 😉)
The food was delicious. And I'm quite tired.
