South Africa
On Saturday, October 2nd, Sonja took us on a day trip. We started from Hout Bay and drove along the coast to Simon's Town. After brunch, we continued through Boulders Beach, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, all the way down to Cape Point.
Here you can see the world-famous "Edwardian Beach Houses" of Muizenberg. They are repainted every year before the summer and serve as changing rooms for the beach.
Right after that, we were in a small shopping street. I love that each store is completely unique and unmistakable. The old-fashioned style and extravagant decorations impress me a lot. I simply enjoy standing in such a store and being amazed.
For example, a Jolly card was used as a price tag here. People here are very creative and detail-oriented to encourage people (especially us tourists) to make purchases.
Sonja also showed us a very good traditional cafe right on the beach and a surfing school where you can rent equipment and trainers directly. Jack's favorite burger restaurant is also right next door.🍔
