I spent 2 weeks with a real Kiwi family near Rotorua. I was able to collect impressions of everyday family life with homeschooling, horse therapy and travellers. 2 weeks in one place are really long because I actually want to travel, but they really paid off. We were 3 travelers from all over the world and supported the family in everyday life. Our tasks included weeding the garden, helping around the house and much more. But the focus was on family life and we were definitely a part of it in the last few weeks. We were welcomed into the family in a very open and friendly manner. Made apple strudel myself for the first time and decorated it for Christmas in the summer.๐โ๏ธ I also had one or two long walks in the rain or at sunset. Was able to experience many new adventures and learn a lot of new things. Had lots of great conversations late into the night with wonderful people. Spent one or two rainy film afternoons or just sat in the garden and enjoyed. Having these experiences is simply indescribably beautiful. I am very grateful to have been part of the family during this time ๐ซถ๐ผ
