89th Day/June 27: Santo Domingo de la Calzada - Villambistia

This time we start before 6 o'clock because of the heat, Santo Domingo is still sleeping.


But it's good like this, it gets unbearably hot, so I don't want to walk anymore after 1 o'clock, because of the persistent irritation.

The morning coffee saves me.

On the way, there are really no highlights on this day, so I make good progress. Here are a few impressions from the day:

Many church towers here are occupied by storks.


Villambistia
At first I am alone in the hostel recommended by "Schmidtke" ("cheap, excellent food" for 15€ total), but then 2 Belgians, 3 South African women, a Dutch woman named Henni and two Italian women, Helena and I from Germany, arrive. We all eat together, it was again a very nice and cozy evening.

There are still 534 km to Santiago, tomorrow we will reach 500!
