27th Stage: St. Marc - Thann

It is supposed to be a really long way for Saturday, so I get up early. Breakfast is already prepared, so we can start at 8 o'clock with a last look back at the protected walls.

Notre-Dame du Schauenberg is soon reached, the small Madonna statue is highly revered.

We are constantly going through the forest, the paths have changed significantly.

Along the way, a view of the Grand Ballon with a magnificent view:

From noon on, it starts to rain heavily, accompanied by strong winds, first losses: umbrella broken, walking stick broken, replacement is needed.

I arrive in Thann late and freezing, but the pilgrim hostel is ready and I go to have a beer and eat pizza. That was truly deserved on this day.
