19th June/81st Day: Ostabat - St-Jean-Pied-de-Port
The last two days before entering Spain should be relaxed days. With a temperature of 28 degrees, it's perfect hiking weather. I say goodbye to Jan, but we'll meet again in...

Today we're headed to Spain!
It's a rainy day, 20 km up to 1400 m in the Pyrenees, but the rain won't stop us.
This is the final stretch of the journey!
I wake up early with Jan and we have coffee in front of the hostel, cheering on all the people leaving (the first ones at 5:30 am).

The path is incredibly foggy, creating a mystical atmosphere.

We reach the border at noon, at the border stone of Navarra, where Spain begins.

In Roncesvalles, I find myself in a mass accommodation with 180 beds, in a 4-bed bunk with 3 South Koreans.
In the evening, I receive the pilgrim's blessing in the church service, followed by a tour.

I am in Spain, about 600 km from Germany and 1700 km from France, unbelievable!
