Day 7 (Di): Goal 2: “El Estrecho”

The journey then continued by car to “El Estrecho” down in the valley. Here, the Rio Magdalena literally squeezes through its narrowest point, which is only about 1.5 meters wide, on its 1,600 km long journey from its source near the equator to its mouth in the Caribbean.

The route there, partly over unpaved roads, was quite exciting - about 250 meters of elevation down into the valley and on the other side the same again up to Obando and from there further towards Isnos.
