Day 4/Sa (🚗Neiva - La Jagua)

Today we continue south, to Pitalito. Normally, this distance can easily be covered in a day. However, since we were invited to dinner at Boris's, a friend of my friend, we didn't leave Neiva until the afternoon.

Therefore, we decided to spend the night in La Jagua, a small picturesque village about halfway. And once not pre-booked - the planned hostel was already closed! 🤪. But we easily found an alternative.

Okay: the rooms were basic, the bathroom likewise, but everything was clean and functional. And 50,000 Colombian Pesos (COP) for a night for two rooms, breakfast and garage (😁). 50,000 COP may sound like a lot, but when “translated” to 11€... 😁

In the evening, we had dinner at a local, very nicely decorated restaurant. Meanwhile, Colombia was playing against Mexico in Mexico and won 4:0. Accordingly, the night was quite loud - Colombian karaoke was a free bonus 😂😂
