Hiking in the Vouraikos Gorge

After the children had a good sleep, we set off for Diakopto. From there, we take the cogwheel train through the Vouraikos Gorge to the stop "Mega Spileio", from where we hike down along the train tracks. Although Birgit and I have done this tour before, I am once again completely thrilled. The spectacular nature combined with the thrill is really fun! Even though it's only 12.6 km downhill, we need about 4.5 hours for the distance. The trail is more challenging than one would think.

In the evening, we end up at the Akrata Beach campsite.
