The east coast to the north

After the capital city, we now head north.

We experienced a lot! We took the ferry across the river from Port Macquarie where we had our first and only mishap.

We got stuck in the sand and couldn't get out, but a nice Australian couple helped us out .... after that, we got a shower and breakfast, and then we happily continued towards the north.

Note: No more driving on sandy roads... :(

Other destinations after that were Nambucca Heads, Byron Bay, Dorringo National Park, and Coffs Harbour before we reached the next big city, Brisbane.
