Ornans, France

My next stop is Ornans, located near Dole in the Doubs region. The Loue River flows through the old town, as you can see in the picture. It's worth walking through the town using the map.

There is a museum created in honor of Gustave Courbet, but it was established only after his death, as his works were frowned upon at the time, and he went into exile in Switzerland. Today, practically everything in his birthplace is named after him.

And what a surprise: there is a large Alstom factory there that produces parts for the TGV.

I was very surprised when I read the inscription Général Sécurité on the old Citroën... I'm curious if this car will arrive on time in case of an emergency...

In heavy rain, I continued on Saturday to Oberwil, partly driving at 60 km/h on the highway due to very poor visibility.
