Wow, what a wonderful feeling to wake up in the camper in the morning π We survived the first night and are very happy with our bed on 4 wheels. Currently, there are some animals around us, according to Julia they are wild geese π¦’, loudly quarreling or mating π€·π»ββοΈ, but since we had to leave at 7:00 AM, the night was over for us at 6:00 AM anyway.
Breakfast in the camper, just awesome π₯°
Then we went on the boat β΄ towards the Great Barrier Reef.
The audience on the boat was hmmmm yes quite unusual, for example:
Fortunately, we had booked a private snorkeling tour and had a guide who took care of us and swam with us to special reefs for snorkeling. Since we couldn't understand the introduction on the boat, as we were sitting in a group of travelers who didn't speak English and had received the introduction in their native language, the guide was lucky enough to give us a private introduction again π€ͺ.
When we arrived on Michaelmas Island, we were initially speechless and overwhelmed, we had never seen such a clear sea before π
Then we went directly into the sea with a small boat, we think Phil (our snorkel guide) had some concerns about us, as we didn't understand much at the beginning ... π§ In the end, his verdict on us was consistently positive πͺπΌ and we even received the snorkel certificate π
The snorkeling was simply breathtaking, we had never seen anything like it before π
Afterwards, we took a submarine ride through the reefs, which was also simply beautiful and impressive what nature has created here π―
On the way back, we passed by the Esplanade Lagoon, we could easily get used to such a 'swimming pool' ππΌ
What an incredibly beautiful day, we need to process everything we saw today ππ»
Tomorrow we will continue in our camper towards Townsville.
