8 degrees in the morning and 20 degrees in the afternoon. With onion look we know our northern lights.
As soon as we arrived in Port Hardy, they were all there, as if they had been waiting for us:
First a few seals stuck their heads out of the water, then a family of sea otters sailed past (nicely holding their bellies in the sun and cracking shells).
Then a nice local drew our attention to some eagle nests and the residents circled above us. This made even the ravens uneasy. Then on the Quatse River there was a black bear fishing for salmon...
