Our hostel is located in an old farmhouse. So we are woken up at 6 o'clock when the guests above us get up in the old hayloft. The beams above us creak and groan, and we wonder if the wooden ceiling is still stable. We fall back asleep and only get up around 10 o'clock for breakfast in the garden. After that, we head to Tower Hill Reserve for a hike. We discover nine koalas engaged in their favorite activity - sleeping. One wakes up briefly, looks at us, and closes his eyes again. We must not look very threatening. We hike past a volcanic crater that has now turned into a small lake. After the challenging hike, we head to the town of Warrnambool to have some fries for a boost of energy. In the evening, we head back to the Lighthouse in Port Fairy to have a picnic, see wallabies, and watch the sunset. We find a beautiful park bench in the middle of the park, and at first, we think we won't be able to see the sunset through the clouds, but then we are lucky and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the sea. It is a wonderful moment that we will surely remember for a long time.
