End of the journey

I spent another half day wandering around Narita, had something to eat, and completed my 10km as well.

I then spent the rest of the day at the hotel relaxing. I planned to buy a little breakfast and some sweets for the morning.

And the next morning, I needed to be at the airport around 7:30.

Overall, I had a great vacation, with a lot of stress at the beginning.

Food was always top-notch except at the airport hotel, which was just bland, so I mostly ate from the discount store.

I was really lucky with the weather, no snow, no rain, just a bit too much sun once.

During the approach, I also thought about the conflict between Japan, Russia, and China, I saw a few jets from the JSDF, Japan Self Defense Force, in the airspace. Since this doesn't actively occur in Germany, it was quite a shift in my back thoughts.

A bit more time would have been better; I often felt very rushed and hardly did what I had planned, but I spent a lot of time in the countryside, which I think was better for me!

Tokyo is truly impressive with so many people sitting, walking, and working in one place; Tokyo Station is hardly passable, it's like an ant colony where everyone goes about their work and their paths without bumping into each other. Sometimes I felt like a foreign body as I stood still for others; better to walk, somehow you can get around each other. In the city, there's often little space, and this lack of space means I have to walk slowly; I still haven't found peace, but I'm working on it.

The stress was sometimes pre-programmed because some accommodations had rooms that were not accessible for a certain time.

Otherwise, you can still see that people work into old age; I felt sorry for the bus drivers since they had to lift heavy and large suitcases out of the bus, as this is a service. Cleaning the curb, cleaning the seats, and what I found interesting is that seats can be rotated 180 degrees so that the train can come in and exit in the other direction without any passenger sitting the wrong way. Or at the airport, accompanying the luggage on the conveyor belt to ensure nothing gets damaged. The staff is very thorough, attentive, and always there if you have a problem.

Maybe there will be another opportunity to repeat this and enjoy it more.
