After Diwali, we headed to Delhi with exciting sights along the way.
After bidding farewell to the host grandparents, we went to a temple of the Hindu god Krishna. It is said that he lived there.
Before visiting the temple, we did not have breakfast or eat anything else. To get to the temple, one must walk through narrow alleys. Everywhere there were shops selling the same small sweet balls (which are Krishna's favorite food).
As this place is one of the most important for Hindus, it was extremely crowded. To get through the narrow alley to the temple, we were pushed along by the crowd. One had to be careful not to get lost.
Upon arriving at the temple, we had to take off our shoes before we could go inside.
Everyone except me was very excited to see this temple from the inside. They were so happy that they could have cried. Prayer chants were constantly being called out, and there was a huge crowd. The temple itself wasn't particularly special, but everyone was so happy to be there.
If you are in the military or police, you can simply take a shortcut to such places and don't take as long.
On the way back to the car, where our driver was waiting for us, we could see countless shops selling food and religious items.
Arriving at the car, we continued our journey to Delhi. By taking a shortcut, we drove over bad roads and past simple houses. Here in India, if you want to know something, like directions, you simply ask random people. They always respond and try to help.
We then took a very well-developed highway to a suburb of Delhi. There lives my host mother's mother. In the suburb of Delhi, all the houses look the same, which gives a very lonely feeling.
The air in Delhi is really bad, and there is a lot of smog. You can't see far, and you can feel the smog when breathing.
