Texas Eagle

Published: 19.06.2019

With a delay of four days, the Texas Eagle continues today for 1639 kilometers to Fort Worth. We had very nice days with great weather in Chicago. But once again, when we move on, the sky is crying 😂

A beautiful train station and a super first class lounge 😊

The departure tracks are very gloomy

👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 Chicago

And soon the sun is shining again 😊

Dinner with a view of St. Louis

Mississippi and Gateway Arch.

St. Louis is the gateway to the West, and in 1803 Thomas Jefferson bought the former French colony of Louisiana for $15 million.

In St. Louis there was suddenly an announcement that we would "stand still for a couple of hours"...
Definitely enough time to refuel  😳

In America, everything is known to be a little bigger, including the emergency hammer to break the glass 😂

Although we are already about 5 hours behind schedule, the stop for changing personnel takes almost half an hour 😳

There is a nice website where you can track how much the trains are delayed....

We arrive at Fort Worth with almost 7 hours of delay, but at least this time the date is correct 😂
When we arrived in Chicago, not even that matched 😳 My brother had enough time to visit Dallas due to the delay.

After our arrival in Fort Worth, we drove a little towards New Orleans before toasting to our reunion 😊
