After yesterday's 'car day', I mainly wanted to visit the city of Annecy, which is praised in many travel guides, today. However, its location on the lake of the same name prompted me to take a bike ride around the entire lake first. The cool temperatures of around 12 degrees and the overcast sky shouldn't stop me. Due to a mishap that I would rather not explain in detail, the 44 km turned into about 65 km, so I returned to the city only in the early afternoon.
Annecy is certainly a very beautiful city with many charming alleys and historical buildings, crisscrossed by numerous canals, which somewhat reminds one of Venice. Additionally, it has a remarkable location by the lake, which in turn is framed by mountains. All this also means that the city is still full of tourists, even at this time of year. But I was one of them.... I suppose I can't complain....
