After a long and good night in Bredasdorp at the Breadsdorp Country Manor, we had a good breakfast and set off early to the southernmost point of Africa/South Africa.
Unfortunately, the weather gods were not kind to us today, it was overcast and it rained the entire way, both to Cape Agulhas and back again via Bredasdorp to de Kelders (in the Gansbaai municipality).
At Cape Agulhas, the Atlantic and Indian Oceans converge, today it was overcast and very wavy. Despite the adverse conditions, it was a great experience.
The way back to de Kelders on the new road was a relief, very different from the 40 km gravel road yesterday.
Arriving at the Cliff Lodge felt like coming home, we have the same room as in 2019, and most of the staff is still here. Everything feels very familiar and with a lot of passion.
This evening we will treat ourselves at Schneider's Cape Floral Kitchen. A recommendation from Gideon, our host.
With the first glass of Chenin Blanc and the fabulous carrot cake, we already saw the first whales.
