Day 23 - 25.06.2017 - Postojnska Jama
Today our journey continued from Umag to Bled in Slovenia. When leaving Croatia, we naturally got stuck in the border control queue. At least this time they also checked our IDs...

We stayed here at Hotel Savica in Bled: family room - consists of two separate twin rooms with a small hallway. All doors are opened with magnetic cards - really funny, but spacious ;-) We were lucky with the weather, as the sun was shining even though it was a bit chilly in the morning. First, we took a round trip around the lake with the tourist train. Henriette loves tourist trains, so we wanted to give her the joy. This way, we could already get a nice overview of the lake, even though the ride was a bit too fast and bumpy to really enjoy the scenery. Afterwards, we visited the castle...climbing many stairs up to the castle - with a detour to the church in between - very beautiful with lots of wall paintings and great organs. The castle was also wonderful and definitely worth the admission fee. From the top, we also had a great view of the lake and the small island with a church in the middle, where the Pletna boats always go. After that, we treated ourselves to a famous 'Bled Cream Cake' - delicious :-) After visiting the castle, we decided to walk the 6 km around the lake to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Usually takes about 1 hour, but it took us about 2.5 hours and we were quite exhausted afterwards and it was already quite late.
