28-01-2022: Ålesund and Jugendstil

The storm is still raging on the Atlantic. We can also feel its effects. It is heavily cloudy. Little light. Actually, it fits the winter season.
We reach Ålesund, the second city on our journey. Ålesund burned down completely in 1905. Emperor Wilhelm II was a passionate fan of Norway and immediately helped by sending three ships with building materials. Therefore, Ålesund is still an important Jugendstil city today.

Climbing Mount Aksla with 418 steps is not a big challenge. At the end, you have a beautiful view of the city.
