03-02-2022: Sea day and rescue exercise

A new hurricane is announced for the next few days. Therefore, Plan A is discarded. Plan A meant visiting Narvik with a ride on the Atlantic Train and a visit to Christiansund the next day and a ride on the Atlantic Road. Unfortunately, all this cannot take place. Plan B now means a quick continuation south and then seeking shelter in a 200 km long fjord. At the end of the fjord is the small town of Flåm, which we want to visit instead. We are supposed to arrive on 04.02. at 12:00.
The drive along the Norwegian coast is already very beautiful. It is interesting that the mountains are extremely rugged and have an alpine character, even though none of them is really higher than 1,000 meters.
The program on board remains varied. In addition to various lectures, there are also culinary experiences. This one was about filleting salmon with subsequent tasting.
The coast guard takes the opportunity to conduct a rescue exercise. Interesting to watch.

Other than that, the ride is calm on this day. That will change at night and the next day.
