Our route for today: Chalets des Bervalles (1154 m) - Les Allamands (1028 m) - Samoëns (700 m) - Pont des Nants (768 m) - Cascade du Rouget (959 m) - Cascades de la Pleureuse et de la Sauffaz (1450 m) - Collet d‘Anterne (1796 m)
The Madonna in Les Allamandes, whom we meet early in the morning while descending to Samoëns, reminds us of our friend and fervent Mary worshiper Beatus in Eastern Switzerland, who leads a life not as immaculate as Saint Mary's but still strives diligently every day.
Interjection: Please participate more actively in the blog. So far, only the mentioned Mary worshiper, commonly known as 'Bezet', has been praiseworthy.
In Samoëns, which we really like and has charm, we finally have our first croissants or Gipfeli, buy cheese and bread, and vegetables at the market and have some coffee. Afterwards, we go through the valley to the 'Gorge des Tines' canyon and then up towards Collet d‘Anterne, our destination for the day, passing by two or three spectacular waterfalls, a climb that challenges us towards the end. Beautiful view back to the valley and also in the other direction to Mont Blanc from the top. A wonderful evening atmosphere. (Unfortunately, a change in weather at night.)
