ISLAND - ASBYRGI - VESTURDALUR

Today I am exploring the west side of the DETTIFOSS river in the HLJOOAKLETTAR and SVINDADALUR canyons. A must-visit when in Asbyrgi.
A four-hour hike (roundtrip from the Vesturdalur parking lot, can also be done in 2 1/2 hours) down into the canyon, passing by amazing moss growth, panoramic views, and lava formations.

Die Felsformationen sind echt nice, auch deren Struktur. Erinnert mich irgendwie an ein Spiel, was ich mal gezockt habe (Death Stranding) - ich gehe jede Wette ein, dass Island dafür u.a. Modell gestanden haben wird.Bernd
