Plovdiv's Houses

The old town of Plovdiv consists of small houses with wooden bay windows, most of which are painted. If they were built around 1900, the year is inscribed in the gable as well. However, many are likely older. This old town, with its very rough cobblestones (yesterday we admired a bride in high heels gracefully conquering the pavement), is a nightmare for owners of lowered cars: they constantly scrape. There's no need for a speed limit here; it regulates itself.
