Izbata Tavern

The search for a restaurant for dinner became more challenging than expected in Sofia. The desire for traditional Bulgarian cuisine was complicated by the presence of Italian and Greek restaurants. Just as we were about to give up, we discovered a tavern in a small side street.

Beans in a clay pot, homemade bread, lamb Dzuhumuri, and for dessert, strained yogurt with honey and walnuts.
