A sunny morning, the city wakes up and I immediately see hustle and bustle. I go for breakfast and have to make do with tea instead of coffee. Then I'll try to get a SIM card. Helpful young guys take care of me. But the procedure takes 90 minutes. Whether I'm a journalist, what my travel route is like, what my parents' names are, etc. I'll probably be checked out. Then I have internet again and off I go the last 100 km to Göbekli Tepe. 10000 years b. C. a Stone Age mountain sanctuary was created here. There are around 200 circular systems, the pillars are up to 6 m high and weigh 20 t. Incredible for the time. Today it is rightly a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then we continued on to Antakya on the Syrian border, not knowing that this city was badly damaged by an earthquake about 6 months ago. When I arrive everything is dark, I drive through a spooky, deserted city with broken houses and mountains of rubble. It scares me. With difficulty I find an intact hotel where I can spend the night.
