From Karlstadt to Veitshöchheim

After breakfast and a short Riesling wine seminar with my host, I continue. Today, with the best weather, there is again a relaxed and relatively short stage - about 20 km - ahead of me. It is still flat and continues along the Main River.

The landscape is unspectacular, I stroll along with a lot of peace and leisure. I enjoy walking slowly. I take smaller breaks again and again. The small things at the edge of the path are important, insects and flowers, everything is pleasantly green and fresh after the rain.

I mostly follow the Main Cycle Path. There are many people on the way, many on their purring e-bikes. Many look at me, the hiker with the backpack on his back. This is definitely not a classic hiking area.

Finally, I cross the Main River and reach Veitshöchheim, just a few kilometers before Würzburg. Here I stroll through the huge palace gardens on a pleasant summer evening.

The insight of the day: I am getting more and more into hiking.
