Day 50 - 10/29/23 From Wanaka we drove to Queentstown via the Crown Range Road. As a stopover for our cappu/latte we chose Arrowtown, a pretty little historic gold mining town....

Day 51 - 10/30/23
A leisurely trip with the cable car up the mountain “Bob's Peak”, which towers 400m above us, with a great view of Queenstown Lake below.
Luckily with the restoration (cappu/latte) we had the best view of the young people, who had little visibility of the area and instead constantly adjusted their hairstyles and facial features to ensure self-loving photos with a cool look. That lasted for about half an hour. Oh, it must be nice to be nice….
We then looked for a picturesque background and tried it, with success, as you can see.
After we got our bearings, we drove to Glenorchy. The area was a filming location for “Lord of the Rings”. We drove along Paradise Road and were constantly confronted with postcard motifs. We're also sorry you have to see this, but it is what it is.
We made it to the Isengard Lookout and crossed the Dart River. Afterwards Sauron had destroyed the road...
