Located 4 1/2 flight hours from Manaus, Iguazu do Foz is a nondescript city in the tri-border area of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, with a major attraction: the world-famous waterfalls. Stretching across the Brazilian and Argentine sides, they are taller than Niagara Falls and wider than Victoria Falls. We visited the falls, which are part of UNESCO's World Natural Heritage, first on the Brazilian side; we simply took a public bus there. Although we had seen many photos of this gigantic natural phenomenon, we could hardly believe the immense amount of water rushing down. An absolutely fantastic natural spectacle!
