You can probably guess from the title of this entry. In a city as big as Buenos Aires, you can find 2 worlds.
The world of the rich and the world of the poor. On the 2nd day of this trip, we should get a short glimpse into one of these worlds for now.
Jonas suggested that we could accompany him to his project for a few hours. Of course, we immediately agreed and were curious about what was behind the sparse tales.
So we started with the bus for a while through the different neighborhoods. Finally, we drove over a bridge. Jonas told us just before that he had the feeling of diving into another world for the first time, and that's exactly how it felt. The river was lined with garbage on both sides, and suddenly the large buildings gave way to small brick houses.
After a short walk, we reached 'Casa San Pablo'. Already from the outside, it looked more colorful than the surrounding area. This was largely due to the colorful graffiti on the outside walls.
The purpose of this place was to support young parents, but also the creative leisure activities of the children in this neighborhood. During a small guided tour, there was the opportunity to make a small contribution. We immediately seized this opportunity and sanded and painted a cabinet.
Such opportunities are among the most valuable ones on such a trip, because you can immerse yourself in the daily lives of the people, learn the language, and simply experience something. So don't always say no ;)
