Boat trip in Crete

Right on the beach near our hotel in Skaleta there was the opportunity to take boat trips. You would be taken to the nearby cliffs, where you could explore the caves there. We actually had considered this trip much earlier but somehow we hadn't gotten around to it.
Fortunately, on our last day of vacation we finally had the chance and took the first tour at 10 a.m. So we went down to the beach right after breakfast and got on a small motorboat.
We approached a rock window behind which a small hidden beach was located, which could only be reached by waterways. We made a short stop there to swim a little. However, it was still early in the morning and the water was still super cold! But it looked so inviting and crystal clear that I overcame my fear and jumped into the icy cold water. After cooling off, we returned to the beach.
We are really glad we did this little boat trip before our departure. It didn't take very long, about an hour, and it wasn't far from the hotel, but it was still a very beautiful excursion that is definitely worth it!
