Days are flying by in New Zealand. Generally lucky with the weather (today we had our first summer day!), we drove through the Forgotten Highway and explored afterwards the center of the North Island.
Besides relaxing in the hot springs for two days, we hiked around Tongariro NP and visited different volcanic zones with astonishing geysers.
Giselle is doing already longer walks of two hours or a bit more -
even though she wants to be entertained with stories which activates the creativity of mum and dad.
Our highlights were the visits to Art Deco Capital Napier and its Gannet colony and the walk through the Redwood forest. Even though not a native tree, the Redwood forest near Rotorua is stunning.
Making our way further north we are now travelling on Colomander Peninsula. On Hot Water Beach We could dig a hole in the sand and dip ourselves in the hot water pools that was sipping out from the earth.
