After a magnificent sunrise and a bit of yoga in the morning sun, I first headed the remaining 20km to Würzburg.
There, I treated myself to a hearty breakfast at the wonderful Café Fred, walked through the city and over the Main Bridge, took a little siesta at the top of the fortress, and finally fueled up with super delicious vegan ice cream for the upcoming elevation to Marktheidenfeld :P
That was a good call because right after Würzburg, the uphill started and the fun up-and-down ride didn't end until about 8km before the destination. Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun, the landscape was beautiful to look at, and the sun was shining :)
In addition, I was happy to have a great place to stay with a friend, her boyfriend, and his family. I was warmly welcomed, had a peaceful shower (what a luxury :D), and we even had a barbecue - almost meatless - in the beautiful garden of the family #likeninthaven ;)
Furthermore, I was introduced to Spike Ball as preparation for student life, which is really a lot of fun! And when there were strawberries from our own cultivation for dessert, a little fire, and exciting travel stories, nothing was missing to make the day even more perfect :)
