1. Day in Alsace

After stopping in Vaihingen an der Enz on our way to visit Sonnenhof winery, we took a tour of the Black Forest until we arrived in Eguisheim.

In Colmar, we picked up our friend Blase and headed to the starting point of our hike. We briefly dropped off our luggage at Hotel Alsacienne and then explored the village. It had everything that Alsace promises - charming half-timbered houses, wine merchants, restaurants. A great first evening. We tried to persuade our friend Holm to join us on the hike, but unfortunately he declined.

We ended the day with a fine dining experience at a restaurant.
