Today we got up early. This was mainly because yesterday, due to a lack of alternatives - there was actually no open pub in Dömitz - we went to bed relatively early. In addition, the room could not be properly darkened, so we woke up very early. That wasn't too bad, as we had one of the longer stages ahead of us, with over 90 km to cover. After a very mediocre breakfast, we set off. The route was not very varied; it mostly went along the Elbe dykes, sometimes closer, sometimes farther away from the Elbe. And storks everywhere. Almost every tower or chimney seemed to be occupied by a stork's nest. In Wittenberge, the only larger town along the way, we visited the local sights. And because the navigation system wanted us to drive on a road in our destination Havelberg that definitely did not exist, we actually ended up covering just over 100 km.
