Clallam Bay is our choice for morning coffee and wifi at the library. We learn that the American Natives reserves, which include a part of the coast, do not receive guests, so the plan to camp at "Point of Arches" falls through. Quickly, an alternative, the "Sand Point", is found and we can obtain a permit online with the help of wifi from a nearby resort. The northern rainforest on the coast is extremely green and dense, a true delight to hike through! The coast itself is wild and covered with driftwood. We set up our camp at the edge of the forest in close proximity to the beach. A sea otter swims in the waves and we can watch it for a long time. On the evening hike in the northward direction, we both see a bald eagle for the first time, which majestically perches in the trees above us. Once again, we capture the sunset before making our way back to camp.
