Auckland

3.6. Once again we travel to Auckland to visit Peter Vosper. Peter did the lighting design for Johanna's project "Flussgeflüster" in Biel 2018. Before that, we take a detour to the War Memorial Museum. We just have enough time to visit the Maori exhibition, which is truly impressive and interesting. Peter welcomes us to his flat and we chat before enjoying Peter's famous nacho dinner. We drive to the city with Lucy and manage to make it in time for the dance performance at the harbor. We are overwhelmed by the two pieces and look forward to more culture back in Switzerland. After a short walk in the newly designed harbor area, we return to the flat and go to bed.

10.6. We take the bus to Auckland via Hamilton and do a city tour with an escape room and beer tasting. Afterwards, we check into the Air BnB and go to a Greek restaurant for dinner together. It tastes wonderful! Back at the Air BnB, Lobo and Johanna join us and we take an Uber to the harbor to have some beers before the club opens where we dance and enjoy drinks for the next few hours. We head to bed at 3:00.

11.6. The night is semi-restful and Johanna and Lobo invite us for breakfast. Then we visit the Art Gallery and go to an outer district by the beach for a little walk. After watching Stranger Things for a short while, we take another nap before going to a vegan Thai restaurant for dinner. The duck and pork belly imitations are absolutely sensational! Amelia and Johanna exchange birthday gifts and there is also extra cake. Since we have to wake up early tomorrow, we say goodbye to Johanna and Lobo tonight before going to sleep.
