Today most of the time was spent driving as the Ring of Kerry is almost 180 km long.
In Kenmare and Sneem, we made stops and stocked up on souvenirs.
The Ring of Kerry is much more famous than its 'little brother' the Ring of Beara, which is evident from the significantly larger number of tourists and especially the numerous tour buses that constantly want to push you off the narrow roads. As the locals prophesied in the pub the day before, we enjoyed the Ring of Beara much better. It was closer to nature, quieter, more idyllic, and much less crowded.
We will spend the next two nights in Killarney, an absolute tourist town, as we have found out. There are souvenir shops everywhere and the city is extremely crowded.
Tomorrow it is supposed to rain all day, let's see what we will do then. The Killarney National Park is actually on the plan.
