Manly Walk

Friends of the sun,

one last post for today and then I will grab my book and let the evening pass by peacefully. But before that, I want to tell you about my first two days with Darya in Manly.

She picked me up directly from the ferry, and while we walked to her small 1-room apartment, we first caught up on our lives and shared what has been happening. Super exciting and somewhat initially strange, as we had only met for 2 days in Bali and did a temple tour together. But I already knew it then, and the days in Sydney only confirmed it: What a cool woman! Everything worked perfectly between us, and it felt like we had known each other for years. It's interesting how wavelength works sometimes. ;)

We spent the first evening walking, shopping, and dining while discussing everything and everyone stimulatingly. And since there's even a Messina ice cream stand in Manly, I couldn't possibly walk around here without ice cream. (I think I've really eaten my body weight in ice cream here in Sydney.)

The next morning, we set off early and went for a longer walk outside. In the photos, it looks like the weather was completely gray and terrible, but it was super pleasant and still quite warm when we walked from Manly to Manly Spit. It took us about 2 hours, and on our way, we enjoyed the view and kept our eyes open because there was spider alert here too!

The track was very beautiful and also quite varied. In the evening, we took another short walk to watch the sunset, which unfortunately was completely blocked by thunderstorm clouds.

The next day I also saw my first kangaroos because we went on a wine tour to the Hunter Valley.
