West to East - Napier
A day in Napier with fantastic ice cream and great views.

Jingle Bells,
Jingle Bells,
Jingle all the Track.
It is slowly becoming Christmas time and that means I went shopping yesterday in shorts and a t-shirt and Christmas music was playing in the supermarket. Very surreal - but somehow I’m also looking forward to it.
It was a bit colder when I hiked the Bell Rock Track. A fantastic track with a breathtaking ending and a view that seems to come from another world.
The track itself is nothing spectacular, so nothing I haven't seen on my hikes before, but it was still just nice to be active outdoors.

The weather wasn't too sunny and there were also some clouds in the sky - truly a dream for hiking. And it was just great for my photos! In the upcoming images, you might spot me as a small blue-and-colorful dot.

And after I spent about 30 minutes taking great photos and trying to position my camera correctly, which mostly worked poorly, I made my way back home.

After a great hike, I made a short stop at the kiwi reserve. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any kiwi but it was really cool to see how the kiwis grow protected from predators before they can defend themselves.

A wonderful hike on a dream day came to an end, and I set off, sweaty and very happy, to my next stop: Gisbourne.
But more on that in the next post. Until then, have a wonderful day and enjoy the snow (if you have any).
Your Britta
