After our small family gathering in Sardinia with Nils and Gabi, I decided to dedicate a little post to our short trip to Leipzig. Even though it wasn't a classic camper trip, it was still a little vacation for us and definitely worth sharing.

Although I had thought a lot about it beforehand (as always), the three days went by as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, and we all returned to Heidelberg feeling rested and happy.

But let me tackle this chronologically.

On September 17th, our journey began with a train from Deutsche Bahn from Mannheim to Leipzig. Who would have guessed it, but of course, our original train from Heidelberg was canceled, and we had to make our way to Mannheim, which fortunately turned out to be no problem. My mother drove us to the station at 6 in the morning, and we were able to unload relaxed and put Michel in the carrier (where else would he go?). In fact, we even had a stroller with us, which - as it turned out - served more as a prop or handbag storage for the wedding guests than as a means of transport for our baby.

The trip there already caused me some headaches as we stood at the platform with a suitcase, stroller, backpack, handbag, and child, and I didn’t know how we would load or store all of it.

Of course, all worries were in vain; a nice conductor helped us with the loading, and there was enough space in the family compartment for all our luggage. The train was not very full, and we found a
