Day 3 and 4

We leave our hotel in Forte France after breakfast and drive to our new accommodation in Sainte Anne. It is located 10 minutes from Plage Sainte Anne. We settle into the apartment and are very pleased. A large covered terrace and a pool in front are a bit of luxury. In the afternoon, we go to Plage Sainte Anne. It’s Sunday, and there are many people at the beach. We find a nice spot and go swimming. On the way home, we find a nice place run by a Tyrolean with relatives from her husband from Martinique. Two cocktails and two crêpes, along with another crêpe for dessert, are quickly prepared for us. Cheerfully, we return to our apartment. Today we will play Skipo.

The next day, we walk to the town of Sainte Anne to buy supplies for our breakfast. Back from the town, we enjoy delicious baguette, cheese, muesli, eggs, and coffee.

After breakfast, we drive to Plage des Salines, the southernmost beach of Martinique. It is much less crowded today at the beach, and we find a shady spot. The water is very beautiful and warm. After a good meal, we take a stroll to the Observatorium des oiseaux - a bird paradise. Unfortunately, there aren’t many birds to see. Two egrets and a huge gray heron finally make an appearance. The crabs are very busy, and a few small water striders are also spotted. To top it off, we can photograph a sunset at Plage des Salines. A beautiful day comes to an end as we return to the apartment, and of course, the cards are shuffled again.
