12th July 2019 Family Gathering

Only 11 days left, time is running slowly :-0 a short update

Of course, we will meet with the family before starting our journey! Even though we have already made such a trip once before, it is strange to get back on the train, travel to the airport in Hamburg, and know that we won't be coming back for a while.

Family is our top priority, so we could never emigrate completely.

Our to-do list (travel health insurance, preparations for the trip, selling the car, terminating the lease on the apartment and moving back home, registering as unemployed, confirming the hostel) is almost complete. Although we haven't been working since mid-May, we can actually count the days we have spent together on two hands.. But we don't want to complain ;-)

The excitement is growing and currently it is -2 degrees in Christchurch in the evenings, so a bit different than here :-D

Now we actually have to say goodbye to friends, colleagues, and family. The time since the decision to travel again has passed by incredibly quickly, we will keep you updated :)
