Last day in New York City and last evening of our trip. We are currently sitting in the Business Lounge at John F. Kennedy Airport, waiting for our flight with Singapore Airlines to Frankfurt. By the way, our 14th flight in the last 2 months!
This morning was all about packing. After all, we have 5 large and small suitcases, a guitar and a ukulele with us. When we were done, we left everything with the hotel concierge and went back to Central Park. Since we are going to be sitting or lying down longer until tomorrow, we thought a walk through the park would be good, even though the weather was really lousy🌧.
At 4:30 p.m., we took the hotel's SUV limo to JFK Airport, which is 29 km from the Hyatt. It took us 1 hour 20 minutes for the journey (!!!). And that, although our driver drove like crazy. Traffic jam out of Manhattan, traffic jam in Queens, traffic jam everywhere. Well, we made it after all and after the unspeakable security checks by the Americans here at the airport, we are looking forward to the last flight of our world trip, which we will take in an Airbus 380 ✈️.
So now we say "So long NYC", probably the greatest and most exciting city in the world (but only if you have enough money with you😉), and in 9 hours "Good morning Germany".
