11.01.2020 - Day 16 - Wellington, New Zealand

Sightseeing tour!!! Today, we went on a tour of the beautiful but very windy Wellington. After visiting the House of Parliament and St. Paul's Cathedral, we took the Cable Car to the uphill district of Kelburn, where we enjoyed a magnificent view of the city and the Oriental Bay. Of course, we didn't miss the nearby observatory with its demonstrations. However, the highlight of today was our visit to the National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa. Nature, art, and history of New Zealand on 5 floors. Very impressive and completely free. I also saw my favorite local animal there, the Kakapo, a large, fat, green parrot 🦜 that cannot fly 😀😀.

Dinner at the hotel across the street, right by the water, with "Fish & Chips" and Gin Tonic 👍😋
